Laraine Hare

I have worked as a teacher for many years, and have designed and taught cookery sessions with young people, both in schools and in a university. I have found that cooking helps people to relax and to get to know one another, as well as helping those who have never cooked to gain in confidence.

I ran a small catering business for a year, providing a range of foods to delicatessens and pubs, as well as cooking for private functions. I have also given private lessons in people’s own homes.

I have loved food and cooking all of my life, and have recently completed courses in nutrition and herbal medicine in order to extend my understanding of all things delicious.

After working in Bath Spa University for 20 years I am ready for a change and have come up with the idea of a series of day courses linking exciting recipes to health and wellbeing. I hold these in my lovely kitchen in a Georgian house in Bath, with a garden for outdoor cooking in the summer.
